i guess i shouldn't wait for validation of my pain.
the blood soaked rags should be verification enough that i have been wounded.
harmed.
wronged.
still there is something in that step of clarification,
where the predator admits that the prey is not to blame.
i am disgusted by the label victim,
think i'm too much to be reduced to such a little term.
but sometimes,
when it's raining,
you gotta stand under whatever umbrella will keep you dry.
